BC Poker Championship Event Schedule
Event #1
November 12th-14th @ 12:00PM
$550 No Limit Hold’em
Addict’s Assessment:
This recently added event looks promising for us small stakes players. Don’t underestimate the competition here though, there will still be very good players in this event. Not all of us have a large bankroll afterall
Super Satellite #1 to Main Event
November 15th, 2009 @ 12:00PM
$100+20 No Limit Holdem
$100 Re-buys (first three levels only)
$100 Add-On
Addict’s Assessment:
At the time of this writing, the starting chip level and blind structure has not yet been announced. I, however, would expect it would be something close to 2000-4000 in starting chips with blinds going up every 20-30 mins. With rebuys and an add-on expect this tournament to be fast paced with very aggressive play. My advice here would be to either practice the High Noon and Early Bird events at the local casino’s, or practice going deep in Re-buy turbo events online at Pokerstars and Full Tilt.
Event #2
November 16th – 17th, 2009 @ 12:00PM
$1100 No Limit Holdem
Final Table will begin on November 17th @ 9:00pm
Addict’s Assessment:
While this may not be the main event, with a mid-range buy-in I would expect this event to be very large with a lot of good players playing with a lot of good chips. This event also has not yet had it’s structure made available to me, however my guess is it’s something close to the main event… probably 10k in chips w/ 1 hour blinds. That being the case, patience is the key here… it’s not a sprint it’s a marathon.
Super Satellite #2 to Main Event
November 18th @ 12:00PM
$100+20 No Limit Holdem
$100 Re-buys (first three levels only)
$100 Add-On
Addict’s Assessment:
It looks like this is going to be the exact same structure as Super Satellite #1
Event #3
November 19th – 22nd, 2009 @ 12:00PM
$2700 No Limit Holdem Main Event
Final Table will begin on November 22nd @ 12:00pm
4 Day Event
15,000 In Starting Chips
1hr Blind Levels
Addict’s Assessment:
The big daddy of all the events. Expect lots of players and lots of big names at this event. Last year, Daniel Negraneu was the winner taking in a cool $370,000 (Rumour has it he went bar hopping with 2nd place last year too) Like event #2 this event is all about the long haul. Take your time, pick your spots, and don’t get too overly aggressive early on.

I have also called and confirmed that both Boulevard and Edgewater Casinos will not be running an Satellites from now until the BCPC Starts, so it looks like the River Rock and Cascades are your choices.
Alternatively, you can try your chances online on Pokerstars or Full Tilt as both of these sites run Freerolls for real money. (This is actually how Chris “Jesus” Ferguson got his start).
I have confirmed that both sites will not be holding satellites to the BCPC, they are still, however, a good way of upping your bankroll and practising your play – right from the comfort of your own home.
